20-YEAR-OLD TAWNY

The Fruit

This exceptional mature tawny is made from the Barossa's traditional tawny varieties, Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz, and has been blended to an average age of a 20-year-old wine.

The Winemaking

A solera-based system is used, enabling us to consistently release wines of such high quality. A limited quantity of 20-year-old tawny is drawn for bottling each year and the barrels topped up with selected younger wine. 

This wine is a five-time trophy winner at the Decanter World Wine Awards, which places it among the best tawny wines in the world.

The Wine

This wine is rich, complex and extremely rare, with a deep tawny colour. It's sweet and mellow, with a harmonious balance of fruit characters and oak tannins.

10-YEAR-OLD TAWNY

The Fruit

This fine mature tawny is made from the Barossa’s traditional tawny varieties, Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz, and has been blended to an average age of a 10-year-old wine.

The Winemaking

This tawny wine is assessed and re-blended into a solera-based system, enabling us to consistently release wines of such high quality. Only a strictly limited quantity of 10-year-old tawny is drawn from the solera for bottling each year, and the barrels are topped up with selected younger wine.

The Wine 

This wine is blend of the Barossa's traditional varieties, exhibiting a sweet and mellow palate with developed fruit and oak tannin characters.

AGED TAWNY

The Fruit

This fine aged tawny is made from the Barossa’s traditional tawny varieties, mostly Grenache, with some Mataro and Shiraz, and has been blended to an average age of a six-year-old wine.

The Winemaking

A solera-based system is used to produce this wine, enabling us to consistently release wines of such high quality. A limited quantity of aged tawny is drawn for bottling each year and the barrels topped up with selected younger wine.

The Wine 

This is a lovely golden tawny, with complex aged characters and a smooth, rich palate.

AGE UNKNOWN LIQUEUR MUSCAT

The Fruit

This exceptional liqueur muscat is made from Muscat à Petits Grains. Records are unable to calculate the wine’s precise age but its average age is at least 20 years.

The Winemaking

While old material is crucial to the wine’s richness and complexity, careful blending with younger material provides the wine with muscat fruit characters. A limited quantity of muscat is drawn for bottling each year and the barrels topped up with selected younger wine.

The Wine 

A luscious, complex wine with enormous depth of rich, powerful flavours. Sweet muscat flavours are not cloying, rather the wine has a wonderful clean finish.

10-YEAR-OLD MUSCAT

The Fruit

This exceptional liqueur muscat is made from Muscat à Petits Grains, which is left on the vine to reach maximum ripeness and handpicked between 15-17 Baumé from selected vineyards in the Barossa Valley.

The Winemaking

After fermenting and fortifying on skins to take advantage of the natural phenolics (skin tannins) of the muscat variety, the wine is aged in large barrels to control the aged rancio characters. Careful blending produces a wine of richness and complexity, enhanced with the wines taken from our solera-system, which enables us to consistently release wines of high quality.

The Wine 

This wine displays a deep amber colour with a slight rancio hue, which is also evident on the nose. Caramel aromas along with muscat raisined fruit suggest what's to come on the palate, which is generous and silky.
